Telling the Academy Story in Two Halls

This two-part mural series was designed to honor the spirit, innovation, and mission of the U.S. Air Force Academy. One installation proudly hangs in the Colorado Springs Airport, serving as a bold welcome and visual introduction to USAFA for travelers. The second mural is featured in the Pentagon’s self-guided walking tour, offering a deeper look into the Academy’s legacy and future through powerful imagery and thoughtful composition.

Each mural was designed to reflect core Academy values such as leadership, service, and academic excellence, with visual themes tied to aviation, space, and cadet life. From concept development to final production, the work required high-level coordination, precise design execution, and storytelling that could translate across vastly different audiences and environments. Together, they form a visual bridge between public awareness and institutional pride.
